✨In September 2025, a seismic shift occurred in the cybersecurity landscape—one that should send a chill through every law firm boardroom.
A Chinese state-sponsored cyber group, GTG-1002, reportedly used Claude Code, a generative AI coding assistant developed by Anthropic, to orchestrate a series of cyber intrusions targeting global corporations and government entities. This wasn’t a case of AI being used to assist human hackers.
The AI itself executed up to 90% of the attack workflow—scanning for vulnerabilities, deploying malicious code, adapting in real time, and even evading detection.
This is not science fiction. This is now.
And for legal professionals—particularly those in mergers and acquisitions, data privacy, or corporate governance—the implications are profound.
⚖️Why This Matters for Law Firms
Law firms are not just service providers. They are custodians of confidential data, strategic intelligence, and sensitive negotiations. When a client entrusts you with their merger documents, IP portfolios, or litigation strategy, they assume your systems are as secure as your promises.
But are they?
According to the 2025 Integris Cybersecurity Report, clients now expect law firms to be “digital fortresses”—unbreachable, tech-savvy, and proactive. Yet many firms are falling short. A LexisNexis survey found that 43% of UK legal professionals rank cybersecurity among their top three concerns, with phishing, deepfakes, and AI-generated social engineering attacks topping the list. https://www.artificiallawyer.com/2025/11/13/legal-reputations-at-risk-how-ai-is-reshaping-cyber-threats-in-law/
🧠 The AI Threat Landscape: What You Need to Know
Here’s what’s emerging:
AI-generated phishing: Hyper-personalized emails that mimic your writing style or spoof your firm’s branding.
Synthetic voice and video: Deepfakes that impersonate clients, partners, or regulators.
Autonomous code execution: AI agents that can infiltrate systems, alter documents, or exfiltrate data without human oversight.
Data poisoning: Malicious actors feeding false data into your AI tools to skew due diligence or contract analysis.
These aren’t hypothetical risks. They’re already happening.
🧩 Questions Every Legal Professional Should Be Asking
What AI tools are currently in use across your firm? Who approved them? Who audits them?
Can you confidently explain your firm’s AI usage and cybersecurity protocols to a client?
Do you have a public-facing AI and data security statement on your website?
Are your due diligence platforms vulnerable to AI-assisted infiltration?
If your firm isn’t using AI, how do you verify that counterparties aren’t using it to gain advantage?
What would happen if a client asked, “How do you ensure our data isn’t being processed by generative AI?”
If you’re unsure how to answer these questions—or if your answers feel vague or overly technical—you’re not alone. But you are at risk.
🛡️ What You Can Do Today
Audit your AI exposure: Map out where AI is being used in your workflows—contract review, client onboarding, research, etc.
Review your cybersecurity posture: Are your systems hardened against AI-assisted threats? Are your staff trained to spot synthetic content?
Craft a client-facing AI policy: This isn’t just about compliance—it’s about confidence. Clients want to know you’re thinking ahead.
Practice your language: Learn how to speak about AI risk in plain, professional terms. Your credibility depends on it.
🗣️ Final Word: It’s Not Just Talk—It’s Walk
You don’t need to become an AI engineer. But you do need to understand the risks, speak about them with clarity, and demonstrate that your firm is taking action.
Because clients are watching. Regulators are circling. And AI is evolving faster than most policies can keep up.
I work with law firms to audit their AI exposure, tailor their public policies, and coach legal professionals to speak confidently about these issues.
If you already have a statement on your website, I can help you refine it. If you don’t, I can help you create one that reassures clients and withstands scrutiny.

About Me
Before evolving into my current role as a specialist coach in neurolinguistic programming (NLP), advanced business English, and strategic mindset development, I spent over two decades immersed in the commercial and legal sectors—building a career that blends practical business acumen with deep communication expertise.
I began in sales, marketing, and business development, coaching high-performance teams for global institutions such as HSBC, where I led training for private wealth and retention departments. I later founded and ran a successful marketing consultancy for over 10 years, operating across the UK and Spain. During this time, I collaborated closely with property and mergers & acquisitions lawyers, supporting their client acquisition strategies, brand positioning, and cross-border communications.
I also served as International Business Development and Marketing Director for one of the UK’s leading property services firms, where I worked alongside legal teams to develop client-facing messaging, streamline onboarding processes, and enhance strategic visibility in competitive markets.
This foundation gave me a unique vantage point: I understand the pressures, expectations, and nuances of legal practice—not just from the outside, but from within. My transition into coaching was a natural evolution, allowing me to deepen my skillset through Master Practitioner certification in NLP, advanced ESL training, and further study in quantum energetic coaching and strategic mindset work.
Today, I work with lawyers across Asia, the UK, Europe, and Latin America—including clients in London, Munich, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, and Brazil. I help legal professionals communicate more effectively, convert inquiries into retained clients, and speak with greater clarity and confidence—especially when navigating complex topics like AI risk, client trust, and cross-cultural negotiation.
Whether you’re a native English speaker looking to sharpen your impact, or a multilingual professional seeking to sound more natural and persuasive, my coaching is designed to elevate your presence, accelerate deal-making, and strengthen client relationships.
I also offer specialist consultancy on AI risk and legal communication—helping firms audit their exposure, craft client-facing policies, and speak fluently about emerging technologies.
This is a highly specialized intersection of law, language, and innovation.
